1” Raku Pottery Firing. Students will receive 5 unglazed pieces of pottery thrown by Jon to experience the exciting art of Raku firing. The pottery will be waxed and glazed for the Raku experience. Raku is an ancient form of firing. The pottery is removed from the kiln while still red hot. It is placed into a chamber filled with combustible material. When the piece is removed from the chamber, the results are surprising and dramatic. Easy level. 10 student minimum. Bring a smile.
